Walking retreats

My books include Soulful Nature, Soulfulness, Less is More, What Matters Most, Labyrinth and Spiritual Intelligence. Click here for a few thoughts on my most recent ones.

I love to lead walking retreats in the spring, at Mottisfont, and in the autumn from Winchester. You may have heard a recent walk with Clare Balding broadcast on Ramblings on Radio 4. With Covid 19 restrictions (and my own 'long Covid' symptoms persisting), I'm not leading 'in person' retreats at the moment, but I'll post details as soon as I begin again.

I tend to run two, each year: one during Lent, and the other in Advent. (Last year, I also wrote a series called Soulful Steps, which took us from the Passion to Pentecost.) Each series is written 'in the moment'.

Speaking

I've felt privileged to speak at all sorts of events and venues, from the wonderful Greenbelt festival, to St Paul's Cathedral, as well as at organisations around the world.

Labyrinths

I love to guide people around these gorgeous ancient pathways, whether outdoors or in. I've been walking them myself for 25 years, and I curate labyrinth space for organisations, and for groups on retreat. (Watch a short film about the labyrinth retreat days I've run at St Paul's here.)

TV & Radio

I've been presenting BBC Radio 4's 'Thought for the Day' for over a decade, and pop up from time to time across various media.
